The Most Venerable Dhammathero Sao Khon, president of the Community of Khmer Buddhist Monks-United States and taking place of sacred His Holiness Samdech Maha Ghosananda, Supreme Buddhist Patriarch of Cambodia, Father of Peace Walk (Dhammayatra), earned a doctorate in Buddhist Studies, who passed away recently early in 2007, would like to appeal to all Buddhist monks of all ages, Buddhist devotees from near and a far, especially Khmer compatriots from all walks of life and political affiliations in the United States to take part in this year's walk for peace.
Purpose:
Walk for Peace, Human Rights, Territorial Integrity and Inviolability of Cambodia, especially the continued disturbance and harassment of the livelihood of the Buddhist monks and temples along the borders.
