Mr. Son Than Lap, also known as Youy, of Camden, New Jersey, age 65, one of founding members of the Khmer Kampuchea Krom Community-North America and its Council Vice President, passed away at 7:30PM on Monday night December 28, B.E.2553, A.D.2009 Year of the Ox in Camden, New Jersey, United States of America.
Mr. Son Than Lap was born in Phnoar Raing village, Kampong Stung commune, Phnoar Dach district, Preah Trapeang province, Kampuchea Krom.
He entered Buddhist monkhood in 1975.
Mr. Son Than Lap last attended the KKC-NA Annual Conference in 2005 in Lowell, Massachusetts, presided by Hon. Son Soubert.
His late wife, Mrs. Thach Thi Sang, passed away in 2007.
They are survived by 6 children, 3 men, 3 women, 3 children-in-law, 5 grand children.
