Abbot Sovannapanno Thach Suon, age 80, Thursday April 21, B.E. 2472/C.E.1928 - January 26, B.E.2551/C.E.2008, passed away in the state of Virginia, United States of America.

Buddhism, Khmer identity, national language,heritage, culture, custom, tradition and way of life.
The Most Venerable Sovannapannao Thach Suon was born in Slaa Paang village, Rumduol commune, Thkov district, Preah Trapeang province, Kampuchea Krom (formerly part of the Kingdom of Cambodia).
He had 7 siblings. He was the seventh child: Upasika Thach Thi Uon (deceased), Upasika Thach Thi Sien (deceased), Upasak Thach Chhoan (deceased), Upasika Thach Thi Sem (deceased), Upasika Thach Thi Dieng (deceased), Upasak Thach Chhoeng (deceased), and Venerable Thach Suon.
His parents passed away when he was very young. At age 6, his father Upasak Thach Say passed awayiin B.E.2478/C.E.1933. One later his mother Upasika Thach Thi Inda passed away.
His Venerable was ordained as a Bhikkhu (Buddhist clergy) at age 22 on July 26, B.E.2493/C.E.1950. His Buddhist master was the Most Venerable Monindathera, right-wing Ven. Sovannapanna Thach Khmao, left-wing Ven. Samannathera, circular by 21 Bhikkhus (monks).
Ven. Thach Suon attended Buddhist school for 3 years in Cambodia.
He was an Abbot of Wat Surinrajaprik Jrey Ta So Slaa Paang.
He was an advisor to the Preah Trapeang pronvincial Buddhist Chief (Preah Balat Kun).
He was a Buddhist master. He instructed Vipassana (meditation).
Prior to passing away from this world, His Most Venerable Sovannapanno Thach Suon was an Abbot of Wat Kampuchea Krom in Nokesville, Virginia, United States.
He was also advisor to the Khmer Buddhist Monks Community in the United States under the leadership of the Most Venerable Dhammathero Sao Khon.
The Khmer nation, especially Khmer Kampuchea Krom people, have lost one of the great heroic Buddhist clergies from this world.
We miss you very much. We will remember Your Venerable in our hearts.
